SupperStep

One dinner. A little less chaos.

Plan several dishes, follow the next action, and preview changes when dinner needs longer. For iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

Plan a dinner

From Cook, choose Plan my dinner. Add dish names and cooking minutes, choose dinner time, and preview the schedule before using it. Preparation, resting and other ordered steps are optional. Explore a three-dish example to try the workflow with editable timings.

When a dish needs longer

Add time to a running dish to preview the effect on dinner. Dishes that have not started move to the revised schedule. Other dishes already cooking keep their real check times. Review any early or late finishes, then Apply time change. Undo latest time change preserves actual completed cooking progress. The app does not coordinate shared oven, burner or human capacity.

Cook it again

Finish each dish after checking your food. A completed dinner saves a reusable plan in Journal. Choose Cook again and set a new dinner time. Existing older records stay available; the app does not reconstruct dinner recipes from them.

Quick timers

Quick timers is a separate utility on Cook and in More. It does not change the dinner plan. The instructions below apply to quick timers.

Start cooking

Pick a dish, read when to start, adjust the minutes if needed and tap Start timer. Or choose Set my own timer. Built-in times link to their Good Food sources; your recipe and packet instructions take priority.

At the bell

Check your food. Tap Done on the timer or its iPhone alarm to save an achievement. Lock-screen completions appear in the app when you next open it. Add one minute if you need longer. Cancel removes a timer without an achievement. A timer cannot determine doneness or food safety.

Cooking reminders

Allow alarms when asked. In More, check Cooking reminders. If permission was denied, open iPhone Settings and allow it, then return to the app and enable reminders. Without permission, audible reminders are unavailable. Dinner reminders ask you to start or check a step; they do not automatically mark food cooked. Quick-timer Done actions save that timer's record.

Achievements

Each completed timer adds one record automatically, including repeat dishes. Photos and notes are optional. You can make a card to save or share later; nothing is posted automatically.

Saved dinners and purchases

Open Saved for dinner templates. One saved template is included; the optional one-time purchase expands storage to 30. More → View one-time unlock includes Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account. Dinner planning, adjustment previews, undo, repeating completed dinners, records, quick timers and backups are included without a subscription.

Backup

Export a backup to Files in More. Full backups include timers, plans, records and attached photos, up to 30 MB. If your collection is too large, choose Export without photos to keep all timers, plans, notes and achievements in a smaller file. Photos stay in the app. Importing replaces local data only after confirmation. Export existing data first if needed. Restoring does not restore purchases or enable sound alerts.
