Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026.

SupperStep is a personal cooking timer. There is no account, advertising, analytics service or AI photo analysis. We do not operate a server that receives your cooking plans, notes or photos.

Information on your device

The app stores timers, alarm completion events, dinners, step timings, cooking progress, saved templates, achievements, optional notes and photos locally. Apple device backups may include this app data, depending on your settings. Removing the app can remove its local data.

Permissions you control

Alarm permission allows the app to schedule cooking reminders through Apple's AlarmKit. Denying it does not prevent you from using silent timers. The photo picker lets you select a photo for a cooking record. Saving a share card to Photos requests permission only when you choose that action. SupperStep does not take photos or record audio.

Timing sources

Cooking presets link to public Good Food pages. Opening a source visits that website, which has its own privacy policy. No cooking history is sent with the link.

Backups and sharing

You can export a JSON backup that includes your cooking records and any photos saved with them. Full backups are limited to 30 MB. Export without photos keeps timers, plans, notes and achievements but leaves photo attachments out of that file; photos in the app are unchanged. Backups are not encrypted by SupperStep; choose where you keep them carefully. Importing a backup replaces local data only after confirmation. Sharing a card opens the system share sheet, and you choose the destination. Content sent to a service you select is subject to that service's privacy policy.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional one-time purchase for additional saved templates. The app checks your purchase entitlement using StoreKit. We do not receive your payment-card information. Purchase rights follow your Apple Account, are excluded from app backups, and can be restored through the app.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date. This policy describes SupperStep and does not replace Apple's privacy policy.
